THE RACING HOME FOR EASTER FESTIVAL

TURNING ON THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!

Every year at the start of the Christmas season, Mallow has a ceremony to mark the turning on of the Christmas lights. Santa usually makes an appearance, there is street entertainment and of course the lights are turned on. Watch out for news on Mallow.ie.

HILL WALKING, HIKING, MOUNTAIN BIKING AND MORE

Mallow is centrally located within driving distance of several mountain ranges: Ballyhoura, Boggeragh, Caha, Comeragh, Derrynasaggart, Dingle Peninsula, Galtee, Iveragh Peninsula, Knockmealdown, Macgillycuddy’s Reeks, Mangerton, Shehy, Silvermine, Slieve Mish, Slieve Miskish Mountains. Some are longer drives than others. The Ballyhoura, Galtee and Boggeragh Mountains are the closest. FUN FOR LITTLE KIDS

A new state of the art Childrens Playground has just opened in Mallow Castle. Entry is free and its conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Mallow also has a children’s adventure play centre, Little Rascals Fun World, 5 mins drive from the hotel. If you are looking for something a little different, take a look in the Local Library for upcoming children’s activities.

CINEMA

Mallow has a multiplex cinema with both 2D and 3D movies.

LISCARROLL DONKEY SANCTUARY

DONERAILLE PARK AND TEA ROOMS

A visit to Doneraile Wild Life Park and Tea Rooms makes for a great day trip. There is plenty to see and do, from photography to park walks, from playing in the elaborate play park to rolling down a grassy hill! Some of the park’s residents are deer, rabbits, swans, ducks, and other wildlife. The flora is wide ranging with many different types of trees, shrubs and flowers. The Tea Rooms have a fantastic rating on tripadvisor too!
